Awareness Practice at Work

How can peace, balance, and ease be a part of my work day, even during high pressure, stressful times? In what ways can having an Awareness Practice increase my productivity and teach me how to be more effective at work? How can I bring a practice of mindfulness into my workplace?

The ‘Awareness Practice at Work’ program addresses these questions and offers grounded and practical tools for change. Through meditation, Awareness Practice exercises, guided imagery and group discussions, clients learn to approach work, and therefore their lives, from an entirely new perspective. One House of Peace has worked with organizations on small and large scales – from guest appearances at wellness conferences to teaching on-going Awareness Practice classes at Apple Corporation. One House of Peace is currently partnering with a hospital in Portland to create a curriculum on healthy, mindful living for patients at high risk for obesity and chronic disease.

I want to thank Caverly for the ‘Awareness Practice at Work’ seminars she brought to Apple. Her teachings have stuck with my coworkers and myself even though it’s been over a year since we’ve parted. Meeting with her on a weekly basis was something that I truly looked forward to. We would talk about meaningful subjects and she really listened to what we had to say and focused her teachings on subjects that we brought up. She enlightened our thinking and behavior to listen more and give time to ourselves, helping us see that we deserved it. Not only did the seminars help us in the workplace, but it was something that carried over to our home lives as well. Although, it was only 6 short weeks that we met, her presence was so calming and inviting that it was like seeing an old friend each week. I’d recommend ‘Awareness Practice at Work’ to anyone. Invite yourself to let Caverly help you realize your potential for inner peace within your workplaces lives at large.”

We were delighted to host Caverly Morgan recently for our SaVRID Insight series entitled, “A Taste Of Health”.  Caverly charmed our audience of sign language interpreters and deaf members by giving us a “taste” of Awareness Practice, which we can easily incorporate into daily healthy living.  As the field of sign language interpreting can be quite stressful and demanding with little time for focus on self-care, it is vital that our profession learns techniques in grounding ourselves, through breath work, and mindfulness.  Caverly was the ideal instructor for our group as we were able to get a hands on demonstration of Awareness techniques with her expert guidance. We look forward to having Caverly back again in the future!
